This is a 100 word challenge by someone in Year Six.
‘I stared hard at the floor like the manual told me to. An aquamarine portal had appeared at my feet, swirling madly and making me feel dizzy and drowsy. I clutched my portal projector like a lifeline and, taking a deep breath, I plunged headfirst into the swirling mass. The sensation was indescribable. I felt as if I was flying with my eyes shut tightly as if my life depended on it. all I could see was darkness until I landed lightly on the tip of my toes. Shapes started to form into tall dark buildings and lampposts and cars. It was San Francisco. Newspapers flying in the breeze; scattered chips all over the floor; and a few cents. It looked like I was still at home. But at home, the streets weren’t running with thick, red blood.’
